Title: Another American onboard...
Post by: GimmieBoost on January 24, 2006, 06:25:34 AM
Very nice site you all have here! I've been a DSMer for 5 years now and currently between cars. I had a 92 non turbo Eclipse along with a 00 Eclipse RS. Now I'm looking to buy my first turbo DSM. It's a 90 GS-T, black, 5 speed, black interior, and stock. When I first saw the 90 GS-T I fell in love and just had to get one. I see a couple of you have one on here. Since this is the only section of the site I can read I'm having trouble finding pictures of everyones cars. I did find the thread with the red GS to turbo swap though. When will the Gallery be working?

Greetings, nice to have more international guests here  8-)
Gallery will be online as soon as we swap our site to new server, which is in near future.

You can find some pics of our members rides here: (not everyone has posted pics of their rides, so those are all that have currently)
http://www.dsmclubfinland.com/autot.php (jäsenten autot in the top menu, which means members rides)

The GS turbo swap is my ongoing project, and hopefully going to have working beast at early summer.  When you have pics of your ride, feel free to attach pics to your posts here  :)

Wow, yall have some beautiful cars! I have a couple questions.

Do all of the European 1G's with the pop up head lights have that front bumper, side skirts, and rear bumper? Over here only the 1990 FWD Eclipse and Laser came with those.

The thing on the bottom of your rear bumper with the running lights on it, is that stock? If so, can some dealerships still get them?

What kind of front seat belts came on your cars? Automactic or manual.

I think that will do it for now. I'm sure I'll come up with some more questions later. I have some pics of the GS-T I'm about to get but it's really dirty. It has been sitting for a while and the engine and trans is in the guys garage so the front looks jacked up. Good luck with the project!

Incase you are wondering... The thing sticking out of the passenger side window was covering the windshield. I was too lazy to take it out for the pictures. :P

Yeah, all edm 1g cars are with popup lights, slightly different shape in 93/94 models cause of light height adjustment from cockpit.

That was an option, not default when new. It's made by vestatec. Fog light(this is req. byt the law here) and reverse light integrated. I think they don't nomore sell them new... :-/

All edm cars are with manual seatbelts, like all cars are in europe.

Yea, it needs work but I'm friends with the seller so he's giving me the best possible deal. He has 15 or so 1g DSM parts cars. So I get to take anything off them I want. Like the headlight that's messed up. The door I'll worry about later before it's painted (he doesn't have a nice black door). He has several motors and I'm not sure which I'm putting in it yet. As for the price, lets just say you can not buy a new 20g for that much. It's going to take many weekends but in the end I'm confident it will be time well spent. Oh yea, and I get to pay him after it's put together and I see it running!
